emacs25-lucid software package provides GNU Emacs editor (with Lucid GUI support), you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install emacs25-lucid
emacs25-lucid is installed in your system.
Make ensure the emacs25-lucid package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep emacs25-lucid *
You will get with emacs25-lucid package name, version, architecture and description in a table
